It's beginning to look like . . .

When we went to pick up our Olympic tickets, I took photos of some of the buildings that have been given a "sprucing up". I will post a few here and you can click on them if you would like to see them in a bigger format.

This is the building across from the Olympic countdown clock, with the reflection of the Hotel Vancouver in the bottom.

The Vancouver art gallery is covered with a fabric mural by artist Michael Lin, who calls this "A modest veil".

The TD bank has our Olympic mascots on it. There's Sumi, Quatchi and Miga.

Olympic banners that line many of Vancouver's street corners.

Building with our Canadian flag on it. There was still some last minute preparations going on, which is why you can see the blue fencing.

Banner and mural above the Hudson Bay Company - which is the main sponsor for our Olympic clothing. The red mittens with a maple leaf on the palm is in hot demand. They cost $10 and a portion of each pair sold, is given to our Olympic athletes. I will model the mittens and my Canada scarf at a later post. (((HUGS)))
