Happy New Year!

Better late than never, right? Of course, if you look at my track record, I do only post a few happenings each month. 

This Wednesday morning, I heard the familiar squawking of what we call a "Stellar Jay", or as the locals call it - "Blue Jay". I quickly grabbed my camera and parted the curtains to look for the awakening sound. The Jays likes to squawk at the squirrels that frequent our back yard, and are very territorial. This past summer, one came to my patio window and voiced his displeasure at the green grape that he had stolen from our vines - insisting that it was NOT a walnut, LOL.
